Choosing the right school for your child is such an important decision. So that you can visit our wonderful school and understand who we are and how we can work with you, please see below to find out more about our school Our last Open Day is on Saturday 14th November but we would be very happy to show you areound on another day if you cannot make this.

We know that starting school is a huge milestone, not just for children but for their families too!
Whether your child is bursting with excitement or feeling a little nervous, we want to make their transition to Eccleston as happy, welcoming and reassuring as possible.
Our Reception children join our Rabbits Class, where they learn alongside our Year 1 pupils in a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Led by Mrs Hanna King, our Reception and Year 1 teacher and Assistant Headteacher, our youngest children are supported as they develop confidence, independence, friendships and a love of learning.
We believe that a positive start makes all the difference, so we provide opportunities for children and their families to get to know us before September.
Our transition arrangements include:
Getting to Know You
We invite parents and carers to an information session during the summer term, giving you the opportunity to meet our staff, learn about school routines and ask any questions you may have.
Making New Friends
Children are invited to spend time in school during transition sessions, exploring their new classroom, meeting the adults who will support them and beginning to make friends.
Transition Afternoons
New starters are welcome to attend three transition afternoons in the summer term where we hold a Teddy Bear's Picnic at one!
Working with Nurseries and Preschools
We liaise with children's previous settings to learn about their interests, strengths and individual needs, helping us to make their transition as smooth and successful as possible.
Becoming Part of the Eccleston Family
We love welcoming our new families to school events, providing opportunities to meet other parents and begin feeling part of our school community.
One of our favourite Eccleston traditions is our Year 6 Buddy System.
Each Reception child is paired with an older pupil who helps them settle into school life, offering a friendly face, encouragement and reassurance.
Our Year 6 buddies support their younger friends at different points throughout the school day, helping them grow in confidence and feel part of the Eccleston family.
It is wonderful to see the friendships that develop between our youngest and oldest children!
We believe that the best outcomes for children happen when school and home work closely together.
Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for parents to become involved in their child's learning.
Our Stay and Play sessions offer a chance to spend time in the classroom, see what children have been learning and discover ways to support their development at home.
We also hold parent consultations and share information about children's progress, achievements and next steps.
Our friendly staff are always happy to answer questions and work with families to ensure every child feels supported.
