A welcome from Reverend Stephen Torr

Hi, I am  Steve Torr and I'm the Rector for the parish of Eccleston and Pulford as well as being a foundation governor for Eccleston CE Primary School.  I was born and brought up in Burton on Trent in the Midlands and studied Theology at the University of Birmingham where I also completed my PhD part time while working for a Christian charity.  I then trained for ordination in Cambridge and have been a vicar in Runcorn, as well as teaching in Church of England colleges before moving to my current post. 

I am married to Holly and we have two children and a dog.  When I am not working I enjoy listening to music, watching television, reading, running and walking the dog. It's a real privilige to live in such a beautiful place and be part of the school and wider community.
